Active & Ageless Over 70
Are you over 70 or know someone who is?
Now more than ever we realise how important it is to maintain good health and fitness … and start feeling young and healthy again.
Presently, as little as 25% of Australians over-65 meet the Department of Health’s physical activity guidelines of 30 minutes of activity per day.
“Active & Ageless Over 70” aims to boost physical activity rates amongst senior Australians through regular exercise.
Our classes are 45mins of fun, safe “functional” exercises to music to help you improve your cardio fitness, muscle strength, flexibility, co-ordination, balance, & posture … using body weight, rubber balls, resistance bands and hand weights.
All exercises are done seated & standing with NO FLOOR WORK.
The benefits of the program range from enabling participants to perform daily life activities more easily, to plus boosting your immune health through reduced stress and anxiety …. as well as improving self-confidence and general wellbeing.
It will get you out and about, doing fun activities, learning about good health and socialising with like-minded people.
Classes are every Tuesday in Newport & every Friday in Avalon.
